Hello everyone just joined the forum. I live in Barnsley South Yorkshire. My first big bike was a 250 Superdream back in the day, used for work daily not fast but really reliable. Any way I have just bought a cracking 82 Superdream 250N Xreg, Restored really well back in 2001 and has done very little miles since. It needs a few cosmetic jobs but it is s really nice bike. My first question on the forum is this. It has a plastic colour coded front mudguard, and it looks right for the bike. I seem to think it should have a steel chrome front guard. But looking at various sites on the old interweb and it seems some of the later models were fitted with a colour coded plastic front mudguard. Anyone give me some help on this topic, I intend to bring it back to original spec.

Hi Kev, welcome to the forum. The plastic mudguard appeared on the later 400s, but I suppose it was an easy swap when the metal ones on the 250 rusted out. My 250 has one, I was going to replace it, but it's sort of grown on me now  |
