Welcome to the forum everyone I`m wazzbo the Northern ride outs organiser. Just recently we have started arranging ride outs on either Saturdays or Sundays once or twice a month, So I thought I`d put some info here. I organise the Northern rides which are mainly in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire at the moment. I`m based in East Yorkshire, but we have members in North East Lincs, West, South and North Yorkshire and Derbyshire that attend the rides. We start the rides from various places depending where we are going. The usual start time is 10.am and rides last all day. We don`t race around on the rides, we travel at a sensible pace that everyone -(including the bikes) are happy with. If anyone fancies a ride out with us, you're very welcome to turn up up on the day, but if you could pm me to let me know it would be appreciated. We are a friendly bunch who enjoy ride outs in some grand countryside, on the bikes that we love, have a good laugh, plenty of stops for a brew and have an enjoyable day out. Take a look in the ride outs and meets board where the rides are listed with start points, confirmed attendance, route map and a brief description of the route. We look forward to meeting new members and you will be made very welcome.

Hello
I'm based in Cumbria (Kendal) but I'm over in Hull every other weekend.
I'll happily meet somewhere but see a lot of groups going from this way on to do lakes runs, perhaps a weekend thing though

For all new members, should you attend one of these meetings, like I have done (very enjoyable), I would just like to make a small correction. Wazzbo states that they travel at a steady pace, this is correct by in large, however there is a red and silver 400N which is ridden by Barry Sheene (aka Terry) and his overtake was witnessed by a few on our Derby get together and it was a site for sore eyes 😍. For those who witnessed it I'm sure you will also remember.

Hi Carl have just read this with a smile on my face but have noticed Terry is loading his SD down with crash bars so hopefully that will keep his speed down a bit for your next ride out!

I'm hoping he also remembers he has these now fitted before negotiating traffic. I recall it ended badly for him in the 1970's with them on. Heck I've just realised why they may actually call them crash bars.

Those crashbars are extra weight at the back so next meet they will help him go past you all on his back wheel

We have talked about a ride up your way madders, but so far have only made it into the dales in your direction, but it will happen at some stage I`m sure. Give us a shout when you`re down our way and we`ll have a meet up with you,as Paul says, any excuse for a ride out on the sd`s.

I think i need to amend the "steady pace" statement as the last ride down the hornsea- withernsea road had a sportsbike rider wondering what the hell was happening when thes two oldish fellas on 400 superdreams were showing him how to go round corners...

Haha- I remember that! That lad was riding that bike like he had stabilisers on it. Would have been more interesting if we had not got to pull in to look for Roy...... again!
