Any idea what type it was from the model identifier section? I mean by the tank decal type.....? I was in my Postie van traveling in opposite direction & tried to look at it in detail but not sure about which model it just looked the same as mine he (or she) were part of a group of 4 older bikes, would be nice to know if it was local or not, funny 30 years ago hundreds would be traveling thorough Taunton & now I never see one, made me smile for a few mins & then I remembered I had a van full of junk mail & bills I had to put through poor folks doors

So from what you say I reckon it was the 'thick two tone straight tank decal' type....and black bodywork you say?.....
So I am going to whittle this down to one of three models as follows:
1980-81 CB250NA 1981-83 CB250NB 1981-83 CB250NDB
I don't suppose you happened to notice the style of the rear seat cowling so we can eliminate further?

Shame you did not grab the reg Rich....but maybe it is a good thing because I would have been all over him/her, in his bins, down the drains etc (you know) in order to check that he was a genuine SD enthusiast.... Joking aside, good spot mate. Keep 'em comin'.

Almost pull as well as the silver 250N Deluxe - particularly of early 1982 vintage (a good year).....the black being only marginally down on overall BHP.
