During a visit down to Berkshire yesterday and today I nipped into Halfords for a can of Gunk. Was casually browsing around the paints section when I came across this product. Interesting I thought.........so I have purchased a can. I am dubious about what this product claims to do, but will give it a fair crack of the whip. Over the next few days when time allows I am going to test it out......and report back.

its shite. Doesn't give a nice glossy finish and its NOT petrol resistant. Wouldn't use anything other than 2pac.

It takes a very, very, very long time to cure and it's not petrol resistant until fully cured.

I'm glad I'm not the only one lol. My missus bought on of those mini oven things and left it on the counter at the back door, I thought it was for me to bake powder coating, she was not impressed when see opened my shed door and found it on my ramp with a side stand in it hee hee.

I could not get a reliable finish with it. ended up using it on painted black items to use it up, quite often it would leave a light mark, then having to spray a little more black on the wet laquer to get a good finish.

It needs heat when spraying it, halogen lamps work well. If cold gets at it during drying it turns white or the black a blueish colour. I use ordinary heat lacquer and give it a few days to harden, with heat lamps. Seems to work OK and no petrol staining
