Any chance you can show us a pic of the bars? Just wondering how long you've had them from Silvers, they may even be a genuine set for all we know - he did used to sell them!!! It's the same PEB 250N kit he sells now but with added rust. I think I can see how it fits, but if it can be done without taking an exhaust pipe off I'd like to know

Thanks pecon. That's exactly what I wanted to know and will save me wasting time trying to figure out how to do it without removing the pipe I have the longer bolts which came with the bars.

Having tried it, I am pretty sure that pecon's problem is not due to the non-original pipes, as I had the same problem. Also, my bars came out of the box with both top and bottom fixings having the same spacing. The only way I found to fit them is with the gap at the bottom and the top bar behind the frame, similar to the way the Honda ones fit.
If anyone has some original Honda bars for sale, please PM!

That's very interesting...I had assumed that the problem was with the pipes. I have it up on the ramp at the moment to have another go at the carbs so I'll have another look at the bars.
