My little green CB200 came to me "restored" by a classic car dealer and has some er... issues. The engine has been neglected and is currently in bits waiting for a new oil filter cup and numerous clutch parts. These little Honda's don't have an oil filter element as such, there's a spinning cup bolted on the end of the crankshaft and the idea was all the crap in the oil gets centrifuged out like a spin dryer. The idea is also to remove the engine casing occasionally and clean this cup. Nobody ever did- the one on this bike looked to have 40 odd years of mud in it and had to be chain drilled and split off the crank. And the clutch was stuck on because a pin had sheared off the release mechanism. I love it when the little job you start out with gets bigger and bigger- I only wanted to change the oil and clean the filter... But my old Sibby 200 back in 76 never had red reflectors on that back mudguard either! Amazing what a cheap reflector and self tapper will hide- at least the rust had been treated and painted silver to match up seamlessly with the chrome finish..... er not. There is another reflector on the other side of the muddy just to balance the look though... And lo and behold whilst up in the NOS attic looking for clutch parts I found an immaculate replacement rear fender I never knew I had! I now remember I bought it years ago from the yooessay. Quite looking forward to putting this on tomorrow....

Nothing wrong with the old mudguard, bit of autosol would polish that out lol! Annoys me why not just get a new guard rather than put hideous reflectors on it?

That's Crouchy's playroom, not his garage. If it were 'Shades of Grey', this would be the red room. Make no mistake though, there's no hint of whips or masks in there - but many other delights.
