It a weird place Cheggs- look at those colours of the dish- a straight photo with no effects- just years of weathering multiple paint finishes.....

The mast in one of the photos above is a relic of the WWII "Chain Home" Radar network- you might have seen similar in various war films. The dishes are from the cold war era when Fungo was but a twinkle in his Dad's eye. There is a bunker complex onsite where we waited for the Ruskies to launch the nuclear holocaust. The site was decommissioned in the 90's and it was deemed too expensive to dismantle the 4 large dishes on site. So they lay there today like giants toys....

Thanks for clarifying that FB  , found my NA has a very decent Honda balance box so that will go on BBC as the H pattern one makes a blowing exhaust noise - its not blowing mind ! (As in BBC my N rather than BBC news page that is......) |

Seems to be FB , no flaking or pitting , not got if off yet but looking good , bike runs better since I removed yet another bit of old sofa impersonating an air filter  - it's not like they are hard or expensive to source is it? |
