Hi Dave here, Some of you Superdream purist may not like my project but anyway I am building a superdream Brat Style bike, stripped down etc etc. I have made a custom headlight housing to hold a small speedo but really need to know the ratio of the 400n speedo, have been told 2240:60 but it should be something like 2:1 . Any help would be much appreciated, I brought the bike in bits off ebay and have spent the last year building it, when its done I will post some pics, sure to raise a debate! Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi , the usual ratio is something like 2240rpm :60 mph , don't know the 400N one specifically .

Thinking about it 2:1 is probably the ratio of the wheel gearbox not the speedo ? - ie a rotation of the wheel gives two revs of the speedo cable ? - again still not sure what the 400N is

Welcome to the forum hondadave. bojer is right about the usual ratio I think. there is a guy on this link www.dotheton.com/forum/index.php?topic=29340.0 that says 1 full revolution of the wheel was 2.75 turns of the cable if that helps at all.
