Hi Everyone, I finally got my hands on a CB400N (1978). It has been sitting in a barn for at least 14 years. It needs a lot of love and parts but I am keen to start sourcing parts. See pic. I don't know if it runs....Time will tell. As you can see it is leaking some oil.

Hi Graham, From all reports it is a 1978 which makes it just an N. But I'm happy to be educated on the how to find out exactly. Yes, I do like a challenge. It seems these bikes are very rare here in Australia so not much information or parts available over this side of the world. But it will be cool to get it running again and then slowly replace parts along the way to get it respectable.

Thanks Dave, I'll be taking plenty of photos so I can remember to put the parts back in the right place.

In that case it has got later reverse comstar wheels, a later upturned tail peace and a black painted engine a per Nc . Engine and frame number will allow model and dating . (just the first half will do).

Welcome CCDave. Your bike appears to be just like a European spec CB400NB from around 1981. Good luck getting her nice.
