It could be an ex members bike , been scrolling my mobile pictures looks like it but no picture of reg. Plate so can't be sure , I believe it used to belong to a guy from Belper , Derbys. I spoke to him in Matlock Bath some months back !!!!

He was asking £140 initially but I kindly joked with him and asked if he was Dick Turpin. Then I said, 'at least dick wore a mask'. He chuckled then accepted my offer of £120. I felt a little bit bad when I asked him to help me lump it to the car to which he obliged. Such a lovely man. Did,nt Dick Turpin have an accomplice called Swift Nick , hmm I wonder !!!!

I knew you would find it!
£1,000 to £2,750 in six months. Good investment! I wonder what the interesting story on the late reg was?....

A photographic memory helps, Steve.
I should of been a copper. I'd be retired by now too. Darn it.

He wanted to make the livery appear like a blue kicker as I recall he liked that colour scheme very much.
It is still not clear why an NA was registered so late, considering they would have stopped being shipped over here around March 1981.....which incidentally is when my own CB400NA was registered.

You made the bike look nice Gaz. It was a good bike , which I thought would be a keeper for me But after passing my bike test only last year a superdream was never going to be something I would keep as my only bike so I sold it and bought a street triple , I would have loved to have kept it as a second bike but couldn't justify it so it had to go. I would love to own another some day
I sent for the all the previous owners info off the dvla as I was always a bit sceptical of the bikes history with it being a NA model but on a A plate and after painstakingly tracking down previous owners on facebook and talking to them it was a genuine bike

Anything in the history to suggest why it remained unregistered for those years, gazw?

Anything in the history to suggest why it remained unregistered for those years, gazw? Could never manage to talk to the first owner , the second owner was the closest I could get to ask a few questions about the bike
