He was asking £140 initially but I kindly joked with him and asked if he was Dick Turpin. Then I said, 'at least dick wore a mask'.
He chuckled then accepted my offer of £120. I felt a little bit bad when I asked him to help me lump it to the car to which he obliged.
Such a lovely man.

That's why there was no NOS left by the time I got there then! I didn't see a great deal to be had. A LH fork ear marked up CB250NB which clearly wasn't SD at all. A couple of instrument brackets. the focus was clearly on the Brit bike scene. This was out in the boneyard though? Seemed a pretty honest bike, 12 months MOT. Motad exhaust, pattern shocks, rack, a non-standard set of engine bars and aftermarket fork ears. This meant the front indicators were bolted onto little brackets on the cast fork yoke. Front muddy looked proper though. Guy wanted £1395 for it.

This SD was inside the sheds- a bit more of a mystery and TBH looked dodgy. I remember the same bunch of jokers from Ireland last year were selling a bitsa RD400 that didn't add up. This was stated to be a 1984 model CB400N with matching frame and engine numbers. They wanted £2,750 ono for it. They got a bit shirty when I started to poke around it, but it had a 21xxxx frame number before I was asked to bugger off...

There was a guy and his missus selling these on a little stand at the back. General purpose adjustable engine stand. Neat idea- I thought it was good value at £45 for the basic stand and a tenner extra for an additional set of clamps...
