Hi all Iv got the sd stripped ready for restore and I'm wanting to get the frame powdercoated but I'm wondering what to do regarding the vin plate with the frame number. Am I able to have a new one made up or am I to remove and save the old one

CAREFULLY centre punch the rivets and GENTLY drill the heads off and you can SLOWLY prize off the plate and reuse. There was some adhesive on mine also, but it came off without a struggle. Use a piece of thin wire and draw it down the frame under the plate if it doesn't just fall off.
