I will be honest and admit that I am more of a CB250RS than a CB250N fan, I have two Rs's but yes, I do also have an N, one of the first series with a kickstart as well as the electric start. It has languished for many years in the parents garden, covered, started once in a while but sitting there awaiting a chance to get it to my address, but we've moved three times since I bought it way back in 2005 or 2006 and now we're putting up at our daughters house while we try to find a more permanent home. No idea when that'll be, as we're waiting on the council, but that's all another story. I am prompted to come and see you guys though as I do know rather a lot about Honda's, not just my Rs's etc. The name ought to give a clue, I worked in Honda parts from 1978 to 2000, then again 2006 to 2013, the only reason I have not since or did not between those times was because of first CFS/ME then 2013 bladder cancer, major surgery which made the CFS/ME worse again. So Superdreams of both the 250 and 400cc versions, also the 125 and linked models Cb450DX, CB350S etc are well known to me. So I'm hoping sometimes I might help, or I might still learn something as to be honest my interests lie more with the older Honda models, and those of the 70's to the 90's, rather than anything more recent.

Thank you, I'll look in when I remember. Currently I have to do most of my stuff on my smartphone, except when I can borrow our daughters laptop like right now, our desktop is in storage with most everything else we have. But if anyone wants to PM me I will give what answers I can, and I'm currently living just over the road from work so what I can't remember I can probably check on there, when I get a chance and feel like popping in.

Thank you all for the warm welcome, and kind wishes. It's not so bad, at least I can ride although not very far, and we're welcome to stay here as long as we need to, it's worst for our son whose 18 and is having to sleep on a mattress on the living room floor right now. We at least have our own room, although it's rather small. My current goal is to get to Snetterton for bike racing at the end of April, on a bike of course, about 25 miles so 50 or so round trip. I made it last year, once, then my condition worsened again although then we lived an extra 11 miles away. Currently I can manage about a 20 mile round trip, after that I don't feel likr doing any more. But I beat, more or less, the CFS/ME once before and managed to get a 35 hour working week in, although that was my limit, I'm sure I can do it again, eventually.

Thank you. Best wishes to your son also. A few years ago my GP was saying how well I coped with it and worked full time even if not quite a full week. Then came the cancer and that messed that up. I get more good days than bad days now though so getting back to as I was.

That's how it is with CFS/ME. I'm sure all my work colleagues who see me out on a good day think I'm malingering, I get the comment all the time, well you look okay. I doubt they take notice when I say you'd not have said that if you saw me yesterday. Or even in a few hours time sometimes because the walk will have tired me out. Anyway all the best to your boy. Has he tried Enada? NADH. It got me back to work the first time but somehow seems less effective now. That said it keeps me well enough to ride and walk on my good days, if not work yet. But I'll keep trying, we can't afford to live on my wife's wages which is why we're living at out daughters at the mo. Private rents were to high, so we're trying to get a council place but nothing doing. It seems working people are a low priority. Best not go on about that.

Don't know if he's tried that or not, they have been testing him for all sorts of things over the last year or two found nothing, he's attending a m e clinic over Bradford way now. It gets him down at times as he sees no end to it.

It might be worth mentioning it, although if he's been to a clinic they have probably suggested it. Unfortunately for many of us it is endless, I would say it's not something you can really beat, all you can do is learn to live with it and do as much as you can. I myself can get no financial help from anywhere now, so somehow have to get fit enough to do some work but whose going to employ you when you can't be sure of being fit for even a couple of hours work a day.
