Go the SD 250n MOT'd this morning, added the bike to my other bike policy and 6 month tax by DD. So its on the road! However due to having had a knee op 2 weeks ago I've only had a small ride on it.It got a couple of advises one for rear tyre tread and the forks were slightly misaligned which I have sorted, the tester also reckons the shocks maybe seizing so I removed the and can compress them and the move freely but on the bike they feel pretty solid, is this normal? Ive been spoiled by the comfort of my Deauville and will take getting used to the hardness of the SD.

It depends if their genuine originals, most of which surely must be shot by now. As I recall they were pretty soft, and early one failed so often Honda even authorised the fitting of Koni shocks under warranty while they sorted the problem. I find aftermarket shocks, especially the cheaper ones I used on my RS to be rather hard. The Hagons on my other give a much nicer ride.
