Hi All. I have just found out why my centre stand did not meet the buffer on the left hand silencer. I was blaming the silencers for being too long. After doing a comparison with another SD I found the real problem. My centre stand is bent ! So my apologies to anyone that I might have misled and to whoever made the pattern silencers. How such a strong centre stand would bent is a mystery, but that's the way it is. All the best. Mike.

I,ve got silvers downpipes an h section collector and 2 motad universal silencers , that was an evening of much grief but patience paid off I managed to bolt the collector to the gearbox used the gaskets on the downpipes that was tricky but the silencer I used silicone , all connections seem tight and leak free ! Fingers crossed ....

I've just fitted David Silver down pipes to an original collector with pattern silencers off EBay , it does all fit together with patience and bolts on to the gear box however I think it is the pattern gaskets that cause many of the fitting issues.
I do think however having a genuine collector box is the key to good fitting and performance and it's worth waiting for the right one.
Cheers,
Fordy
