I remember a thread long ago on another forum re the rear reflector. can someone remind me please re the story - specifically the fact that some muddies have a black blanking plate rather than a reflector? I can't recall the details.
thanks in advance.

Black blanking plate normal for uk, the reflector was aftermarket addition in uk. It may have been standard in some parts of euorland, unsure, someone else will know.

What Jonny said - always the UK versions had a black blanking space from new held on with a spire nut.....but a lot of owners retrofitted the euro fit refectlor either back in the day, or by now.
Part number for reflector is now 33741-415-602.
Blanking space is part number 80110-443-600.

The reflector is but the blanking space is harder to find.
There are a few lurking in deep and dark places.

Blank one on my "restored" 1979 silver 250 (keeping it original), and red one on my 1981 "sport" 250, colour of which is still to be decided. I think it will work well with the look I am going for.
