Hi Guys, I live in a small 3 bedroom x-council privately bought out council house with a small side entrance garage and a long back garden. I tend to collect tools and bike parts. My woman collects mostly brass antiques and books and clothes. The shed is pretty full to the point that I have ropes on pulleys suspended from the ceiling which I use to travel over the bikes airborne sometimes, with little clear spots to drop down on. I have plastic wheelie bins in the back yard full of SD parts that I get cheap in markets etc and spray with oil to prevent rust from condensation, as well as some Suzuki GS125 spares. I can not keep much in the house as my bits get thrown back out into the back yard on the concrete with no respect given to the chrome as it bounces of the concrete ! Problem is my collection keeps growing with no sign of being able to retire early to do all the things I want to do with my SD's I live in a house full of women who all think I am insane except that I am the main earner and they gladly consume every penny I earn as if it grew on trees outside the door, (at least they have the bathroom to themselves as I spend a lot of my home time out at the bikes) does anyone here find themselves in the same boat.

Yep, got a three car garage groaning with bikes and crud wifey doesn't want in the house lol! It got so bad i decided just after christmas to keep selling stuff from the garage on both ebay and gumtree, the mess is slowly clearing and when tidy i will hold the only keys to the garage, no more dumping!

I have one narrow walkway through to the garage door that is gradually getting wider, this week i will mainly be selling gs500e parts as i seem to have enough spares to build another one! next week will be the spares from my pajero now sadly dead! and so on!

i rent a part of an old furniture factory which is supposed to be my metalwork workshop, i live in a room made into a big bedsit.it allso is is full of bike bits that want protecting in the dry, mrs rg is very very understanding, i'm very lucky. my workshop is 320square meters of pure clut and bike bits. even got 2 cars in there, suzuki sj410 and a 1929 ford hotrod thingy which is my mates.
Clut just never stops, there is a well known physical law that says its self multiplying so don't worry about it. if you want to smile to yourself at nights, hide bike bits under the bed.

I married my lovely wife 3 years ago and she is truly obsessed with me being untidy, nothing gets thrown away but it's not allowed in the house always a pile of stuff to be put in garage which will take 6 bikes comfortably with space to spare plus a newly installed shed that's too small wish I'd gone for a 12x8 like I used to have.I also have storage space in brothers lock up and his business premises(have an upstairs workshop here I can use)but it's 20 miles away.Planning a grit blast/Polishing service with small machined parts made on lathe in near future.I hate getting rid of things especialy bikes don't like advertising and the inevitable tyre kickers lol.Tend to hoard stuff but had to get rid of loads of stuff 5 years ago when first marriage ended, long may it last an English mans shed is his castle

the polishing/blasting biz is a good idea. the bits in the house are for "procesing/filing/catologing" but sometimes this takes a lot of time eh ?
