Did some research and thinking on suitable tyres today, not just for my SD's. But I remembered I had that CB400N front wheel complete with tyre I picked up at Newark a while back. And at one point it ended up leant against another tyre. Then I looked over. Jeez there is a big difference in these so-called equivalent sizes! The tyre on the CB400N rim is a classic Avon Roadrunner- that tread pattern brings back memories! It must have been on there for years as it's all cracked and unusable. It's the same size as a SD standard front- 3.60S x 19. The other tyre is a Heidenau 3.25 x 19 which a couple of my bikes have fitted. Compared to the Avon it's hauge! No wonder it's a squeeze under the stock mudguard...

I have an Avon Cobra on my Hardley rear and it rubs on the fender on compression even though it's same size as previous brands

Nice tyres and the TT100 was the one always up against the Roadrunners- most of us chose one or the other. Eye-watering price though!

In my lock up I have a brand new pair of Metzeler tubeless in the exact correct size waiting to go on my deluxe. Also have a NOS front and nearly NOS rear Bridgestone Mag Mopus.......the real deal. But would I ride with 'em on at 25-30 odd years old? Not on your Nellie.....well, maybe only a short distance.

Yes, the Time Warp 250N has those nearly new OEM Yokohama SpeedLines fitted. Good for an inch perfect resto, but not sure I would dare to ride on them...

Yeah, my 250N (EKO) had the speedlines on when I got her last May.....they were cracked to buggery and it amazes me how they got through MOT's all these years.
The options from new were Dunlop, Bridgestone and Yoko. Your tyre pressure decal will confirm the exact models of tyre.

Great great tyre - the undercover will have these shortly - I've had them for a year now!!!
I have Pirelli City demon on right now (have had them on her for five years) but although they really try to look like a period tyre, to me they don't.

Hey Paul - that link shows tubeless (TL)...
Have you confirmed these are available in tube type still (TT) ?
I think they are but you just need to make sure. Unless you are not concerned. In some cases, I don't think it matters. I believe a tubeless with a tube fitted will be okay anyway.

That said, they may be going on your blue deluxe - if so ignore the above.

They are marked up TT, but the advice I have is that they will also take a tube? A bit like the Avon Roadriders, which are still my tyre of choice for my regular riders. They just don't look period. FWF has Roadriders fitted- with tubes now but when I got the bike someone had fitted them tubeless, which is a definite no-no.
This tyre is for YHV. I've got the front end stripped down and wheel off for the brake work anyway, so I will change the tyre. I guess this is my way of saying I just can't live with the 3.25 Heidenau.... Soz!

Do you mean marked up TL?
TT are naturally designed for a tube.

No, I agree - dump it......I did on EKO - but it sat even hgher than yours for some odd reason to the extent it was rubbing the guard. I did not fit those boots - a nice man from Ebbw Vale did.. This is in Wales.
