We had been due to go on Holliday in Paris to celebrate 25 years married, already paid for it, now Her Ladyship won't go for fear because of a few 'head the balls' running around dressed in black shooting people with kalashnicufs. I have paid for holliday and all, and wont get a penny back if we cancel, so much for the luck of the Irish, of all places could they not have picked somewhere else besides Paris especially at this timing!

It is very bad what is happening there at the moment but you need to reassure her that the chances of being shot and killed by this lot are extremely rare. If anything, by the time you get there, security will be tighter than it has ever been.
Have they not all been caught now? Need to check the news.

All the 'terrorists' are dead.....along with too many innocent people.
There is only one female left roaming about - a suspect who supposedly shot the female police officer - but she will be long away from Paris by now.
Try to reassure you good lady that there is nowt to fear by going there. If it was that dangerous, trust me - the French security services will have locked the place down and no-one would get in or out.
They dont mess about out there!!!

With this bunch of dangerous lunatics there is no place safe anywhere in the world. Paris is just the latest and who knows where they could strike next.As Greybeard says " They don`t mess about there ". From the Brit tourist point of view I would agree - it must be the safest place to go.

just tell her that it will all be forgotten about in a month.
there will of course be repurcussions but will more "personalised" so dont worry.

Firstly our deepest sympathy must go to the families of the victims and our best wishes to those who were injured. As for cancelling holiday plans Scania I would still go, this was an isolated incident and they had a specific target for their attack. The truth is there have been incidents all over the world including the UK, USA, Australia, all over the Middle East and now France but the chances of being caught up in a similar incident are very remote. I grew up in Northern Ireland during a time when visitors to our shores were in short supply due to concerns over terrorist attacks which were equally as repugnant as the events in France and which were not isolated attacks but part of a long campaign of attacks. But the truth is life went on as normal and people just got on with their lives and this is how it should be otherwise the terrorists win. Go to Paris and enjoy it you have more chance of being knocked down on the way to the airport. I hope you and your wife go and have a great time.
