The man cave has a new timepiece up on the wall in pride of place! Presented at a get together we held at our place on Boxing Day- made by a friend who makes jewellery and ornaments out of everyday stuff. I remember she bought the raw material for a quid out of a container of scrap back at Newark- and never realised it was off a Superdream. I was really touched by the thought that went into this!

The disk is actually in better nick than some in my spares pile! Specially hooked to the wall as if it does drop it will take toes off before punching a hole in the floor....

That is fantastic Paul it's great to see things like that being made useful in another way than what it was originally designed for. Tell your friend it's a brilliant piece of lateral thinking design.

Would that disc solve the squeaking on YHV, perhaps?
Obviously remove the movement from the centre - you don't want the squeak to be replaced by a tick - that would be equally as annoying.
