1981 was a great year for me biking, was a instructor with the RAC in solihull, loved it, good times.

no pictures in those days, i remember going out with the ignition key, and that was it.
now its glasses, mobile, wallet, house keys, see what i mean, what do you mean by steed.

Steed means horse traditionally and would be the one that is favoured to ride from a few, I guess.....but it has translated to motorcycle speak for years.....horse being the bike.

i had the cb250rs then, that was a great bike, i know you dont like fairings, but i used to love them, i had a fairing on my
cx 500 as well. i wish i had a picture of that one, i have a small snipit of one, riding into the car park at Bowleaze Cove,
weymouth, if i can find it.

I do like fairings Steve but small sexy ones that I can give or take, depending on the mood I'm in......and even this fetish has come of age.
They are an acquired taste....

When I was riding my first bike the suzuki gs125, I had its original faring mounted on with wing nut bolts. I used to put it on for wet days and take it off for dry days. Also I used to sometimes alternate in on and off in dry weather just for the fun of it, it felt like I had 2 bikes and it used to confuse some people.
