Hi Cramet. Sorry I do not have any definitive answers, just my thoughts. It would really depend on the stud spacing of the ttr400 flanges. You can obviously measure the CB250n stud spacing but you would need to know if the ttr400 spacing was the same. The hole for the exhaust pipe could be enlarged if need be by machining. I would suspect that the shop making the downpipes has seen cutting and welding the ends of the downpipes as the easiest option. Another possibility would be to copy the ends of the existing downpipes using the correct diameter pipe or making a collar. This would be possible but of course more time consuming and expensive. After market downpipes are available for the CB250n quite cheaply as you probably know, but unfortunately they are single skinned and will discolour very quickly. I would suspect that stainless steel downpipes would also discolour with heat, I think they go yellow, but of course they will not rust. All the best. Mike.

"Instead of cutting and welding the end of the old header pipes like the shop wants to is there another option" Get a couple of stainless washers laser cut, one for the end of the pipe to substitute the end thickness and one for the collar landing flange to put on first, and just weld them on the pipe? www.lasermaster.co.uk/
