Is the maroon coloured bike posted above the 'Benly' , if so I think it is a lovely looking bike. What was the build quality of Hondas build in Brazil ?

As for the CD250U - I am pretty sure it is a Brazilian machine - same era as the CB450DX.

Yes, and half the power... Is that true or are you joking ? Exaggerating. Was this bike around 20HP. Not exactly progress from the Superdream, but designed for a different market....

Build quality okay but IMHO could not touch a Jap machine.

Personally if I was Mr Honda I would not have said" what the 250 SD really needed was less power"......

I wonder if another bikes manifold would fit? My plan is to get a spare set of carbs, clean them and have them on standby, then rotate them for cleaning if it's needed or If I have any doubts about them. After thinking about it a lot I figured that its best not to fiddle with the engines original fuel setup.

apart from perhaps a small vw type inline fuel filter that fits neatly tween frame rail and tank, just behind the side panel grommet hole.........no issues and it stops the carbs from getting rusty fuel etc...........allan bolts on the float chambers is also a good idea so making float chamber removal and delivery system cleaning easy with a compressed air lance ( floats and valves removed ) and water ( rust water based?! ) then compressed air to finish........I have been using an apron that covers the tank and h/bar switches so water in the tank is not an issue these days, bike lives outside in the cold, wind and rain etc...
regular use ( after being set up properly ) is the key........mine ( passed mot yesterday ) is used daily.
