Biker, sorry!
I saw her running from the side as the traffic slowed he was going too fast even at 20mph or kph.
Treat others as idiots and you can rarely go wrong!!

That is just poor riding. This is York Inner Ring Road, ye old city walls on left and Monk's Bar coming up. There's always loads of pedestrians crossing right to left as there is a large supermarket and carpark off to the right- the biker passes the entrance earlier. The shoppers then cross over and go through Monk's Bar into the city shopping area. Stationary traffic and pedestrians- he should be filtering a lot, lot slower.
It was obvious she wasn't looking and where she was going from way back. I notice our biker in a hurry also declined to let white van man out just before- although the car in the right lane had stopped to let him out and possibly flashed him as well....

I would have been going slower if that was me on the bike. If a car door had opened he would have a nasty knee injury, if a child had run out it could have sustained a head injury. Granted the woman stepped out without looking but if I was the biker there l would feel at fault myself.

I would say its the bikers fault, i saw the lady running, i would have been going slower filtering in traffic anyway, as previous poster said, car doors could open, or someone could have turned the nose of the car in to get in the other lane, and of course which actually happened pedestrians crossing. Filtering is fine as long as its done with extreme caution
