Yeah thanks Loz - I've seen these. Don't like the visor though - too modern....

I think my helmet cost £35.00 fromAldi, are these designer helmets an added safety benefit or is it just for snob value?

The latter is more likely young Fordkins. Bottom lone - you cannot beat an original.

Aldi used to do a brand called B-Square, they were a cheap helmet but had the safety stickers. They were the only helmet which fitted my head like a condom and were a pleasure to ride, I mean wear.
Has anyone saw the B-Square helmets in Aldi in the last year or are they history?

Lidl done the B-Square range of helmets and motorcyle gear. Personally I would go for the best helmet I could afford, as long as it fits correctly. I also would'nt wear an open face helmet, the first accident I had on a bike I came down chin first and cant imagine the damage that would have been done if I had been wearing an open face helmet. I think the proper gear on a bike is important as its amazing the damage that can be done even in a low speed spill.

I really do love this style of helmet. But I've only wore my Biltwell Gringo a handful of times, its not as practical as it is stylish. Last time I wore it I was caught out in the rain and with not being able to open the visor it wasn't very good. Could hardly see where I was going as it misted up.

Yeah, I have had a Gringo for over a year now - wore it to Wales meet this year. I have a bubble visor (green tint) and a snap visor......but sadly both do not lift up - rather they stay in place. Silly really. Whatever happened to functionality in simple design?
Don't get me wrong, I do love the Gringo.....but that is a flaw.
Edit : Silver Helmet is a Buco from 1975............Gringo is the White one in the first pic in the middle - snap visor shown - labelled up by me as a 'Bell' last year. Mimics the old Bell Star.
