BSA Lightning( but I reckon it started life as a Thunderbolt) should be red but as it has 2 carbs Must be a Lightning.Wrong silencers, rear light, rear shocks on it think it's a 1964/1965 model looking at the front brake bit of a bitsa?

Quite a beauty, I always thought front hub brakes look way more elegant and stronger looking than disks as the spokes are shorter. It got me thinking how modern bike design has gone to f**k. Imagine if it was possible to buy this bike new today, I would sell my granny to buy it. How much would that bike in the picture sell for I it is driving well? Were AJS and BSA the same company at one stage?

No BSA group had Triumph,Ariel,Sunbeam and AJS were part of AMC with Matchless,Norton,James,Francis Barnet.I didn't think the A65 looked as good as the earlier A10 and I preferred the Triumph as did most riders
