A mate's got one. Big, comfy, lots of toys. Not bad handling considering it's size IIRC.

Im extremely tempted by one, will try get a ride on one soon. Get one D, you will loorve it. I am enjoying the 1200 and I hear the 1300 is even better. Comfy and loads of luggage space plus they are rapid. I like the silver. Gee.

These were used a lot by the Irish Police up until about two years ago I think, then there were some problems where some bikes split in half when under stress, something to do with the back swing arm I think. I have forgotten whether it was under extreme breaking or extreme take off. Anyway someone in authority decided to ground the complete fleet of these bikes. As far as I know the bikes are still in quarantine where they can't be used by the police or sold off to guys like us either as there is a court battle going on over it. The manufacturer or supplier or someone is saying that the problem is related to service etc, where the police are saying it is a quality/reliability issue. They bought new Honda Deuville 700s to replace them as the Deuville is easier on fuel as there have been cutbacks because the EU is draining the life blood out of Ireland. Historically x-police bikes in Ireland were well sought after because they were well serviced and well looked after by the police guy who rode it because he had it all them time as their own. I read that these years any policeman can grab any bike so they are not looked after as well. I think they are a nice looking bike but a bit big for my needs.
