A bit of guidance please guys..
I have been offered a frame with V5 but no metal plate (it was removed when the frame was painted and then lost). The number on the frame matches the V5. Is it worth buying or will i have trouble getting it MOTd?

My take on this Rich is that if your MOT man is like mine, then he will totally ignore the VIN plate riveted to the frame (or not even there) and go straight for the headstock - which is where the proper frame stamp is located - right hand side on the SD.
So - MOT wise (which is what your question is about) then as long as the frame number that he sees stamped on your headstock is the same as the one on your V5 (via computer lookup) there will not be a problem.
VIN plates are easily tampered with and the MOT inspectorates fully know that.
