Anybody go to the Newark AutoJumble today? Picked up a couple of Stanley reflectors for 50p each- hadn't the heart to haggle that one, a scratched but otherwise serviceable silver tailpiece for 3 quid bartered down from £5, and a really nice unmarked 400N front wheel for £27.50 bartered down from £50. There was some real crap there mostly though- 1 guy actually selling a ball of old string but he would not haggle.....

That wheel looks tidy.
What tyre is that? Looks period.

Avon Roadrunner manufactured October 1980. Wheel is dated 5/78 so the donor bike must have been laid up for quite a few years.......

You done all right there, was worth the trip, you could sell these in the morning and make a profit if you wanted to.

No, it's nowhere near as big- just an autojumble with around 50% of it motorcycles. At 6 quid to get in and plenty of tea and burger vans it's a good day out and chance to root through heaps of old bike bits. Wellies recommended.....

I went last year, the highlight for me was a custom paintwork scooter stand, was it there this time?
