My last brush with a CB250N was riding on the back of a mate's wheezy, knackered example at college nearly 20 years ago. I remember it struggling 2 up with the hill on the A420 up out of Wick.
Anyway, the current Mrs Joints wanted a 'back to biking' hack following maternity leave, and somehow I ended up getting an offer accepted on a 1980 250 SD.
I'll probably pick it up sometime this week, and am unjustifiably excited!
I'm guessing the usual valve clearance check, mixture, idle and carb balance will probably make it idle, but any tips and advice welcome.

Tog Hill, I know it very well, you want to try going down it with an artic during the snow I go to Mcgills Transport every night and have seen quite a few bikes struggle up it.

Yeah I remember Toghill well, often went that way home when I lived in Sodding Chipbury, quite a climb out of Bristol to the A46 you needed to keep the revs up,two up it would have been a struggle.

Welcome, to the Superdream bunch, got to warn you these bikes are addictive, you will spend a lot of hours fiddling with the bike, and checking in here!
Lovely clean bike, nice colour.
Could you find out from the seller if the crash-bars on it were factory built for the Superdream or if they were from another make of bike but were somehow made to fit.
Is there a make or model stamped on the bars ?
I am on the lookout for a set of bars for mine so if you are selling them can you keep me in mind, I,m in Dublin Ireland.
