Correct Steve 1965 vintage I believe.
The one pictured is not the one that nearly took my finger, this one belongs to Chris Evans!!

That is the rep's special Sierra....the bottom rung of the company car ladder in the early 80's.
I totalled a 3 week old version that we had as a pool car. Lost it on a wet bend at nerfed a lamp-post. Drove it back to work that evening and parked it up with all four wheels still attached but the nearside wing very much the worse for wear.
Next morning I get an irate call from the floozie who booked out the pool cars as to why her brand new Sierra is sitting on the works access road with only 3 wheels. "Dunno" says I. "It had 4 when I left it last night".............
She was not impressed..........
She was also of the type where you could see the lights were on, but no-one was at home.......

What i do like about that picture is the clean look under the bonnet not a relay or fuse box in sight, very little electrickery!

A Volvo......or an Ovlov if you take a backward approach to life..
Either way, and even on a Superdream, please do your utmost to avoid this breed - especially at junctions.

On reflection......one thing I would like to add (and entirely not in keeping with the topic as usual) is the fact that I have never had a collision with a Volvo driver on a motorbike or car as yet.
Three collisions I have had - Fords, one a Sierra and one an Escort. Also had a collision with a bloke in a VW Golf who rear ended my mark 3 Escort - junc 11 M4 Eastbound off slip road, April 1993........a professor of all things.......a professor in getting pissed up whilst driving I thought at the time....whilst he dug out his fat wallet and begged me not to go through the insurance.

Oops. We've three Cbs and a Bandit sharing garage room with one of these Ovlovs. I'll make sure they don't all crash into each other. Lol
