Hi all , Many moons ago I bought a replacement seat cover for my sd, I,m going to have a go at fitting it soon , some of the spikes from the seat base have rusted and come away , as anyone fitted any of the spike strips available and if so any ideas which is the best way to fasten them to the seat base ,Cheers Paul .

Hi. It is good to know that spike strips are available. I have a very good seat base and cover but the cover is a bit loose in places because the spikes have broken off. It could prevent me having to pay silly money for a good seat base. Thanks. Mike.

I've got some spike strips on my SD seat and the A100. They are both pop riveted on. dead easy to do.
When you come to fit the cover, make sure you start in the centre of the cover at each end first, then pull the sides tight. With the SD which has a dip in the raised bit at the back it may help to warm the cover slightly with a hair dryer. Just take your time and try to pull an even amount each side. Its not hard to recover a seat once you get into it. I've done 4 now.

That looks well cool. I suppose it just takes a little time to get right.
