I would not have sold that machine under any circumstances, a real stunner. Just turn the handlebar brackets the right way up ( dots at the top) for true perfection!!

I have a very short list of remaining jobs to do on her. The handlebar clamps, move one clutch cable nut the correct side of the engine bracket, replace the pattern silencers and exhaust clamps with precious NOS. And I spotted the small collar missing off the forward battery tray bolt- the one that spaces the air box out. A NOS rear mudguard is on the way from Oz so it will have one with no number plate holes in.
Because it will indeed be a static "as showroom" exhibit. It has no petrol in the tank, engine has been blueprinted and never run since the resto....

No, sorry Paul.....
With these imperfections it is going to need a complete restore.........

Wow, I think you're right to preserve it in that condition. Some may say get on it and ride it cos that's what it's made for but it is very hard to use something so perfect. I too have mint NOS restore and although not quite finished it presents me with the same dilemma. You have the best of both worlds though so keep it wrapped in cotton wool. I do love that red kicker. I have a NOS Helious tank in the locker, well I live in hope!

Possibly the best one in the country.......glad you got it.
I need to see this machine in the metal.
I really do hate to invite myself to dinner......
