Hi all, my son and I where given a 1980 250n last spring, she had sat unloved for 20 years. God it was ugly with a very dodgy paint job and a massive white fairing. So at the risk of upsetting the purists out there we striped her bare, shed a bit of weight and gave her a new look. She is still a work in progress and getting her to run right is driving me nuts but I have kind of become attached.

I was watching a vid on youtube the other day and he was struggling getting his to run right with the same sort of filter pods you are using .his solution was to wrap the pods in an old T shirt and it ran fine afterwards it seems they draw in too much air .Worth experimenting with

Welcome to the forum! No upset here - I really like that What did you do with the fairing in the end? Thanks greybeard, Glad you like it, still want to add bar end mirrors, small speedo and make a new seat, but first I need to sort out the running isues as she needs half choke and kept over 3000rpm to stay running. The fairing and everything else we took off are still sat in the shed/cave.
