Hi can anyone tell me possible cause of a flat spot splutter low in rev range 2500/3250 ish once past this revs strong and clean. Would pilot screws have an impact on this . Im hoping it will clear .maybe some super unleaded will help. I ultra sonic bathed the jets and carb bodies . Pattern exhaust front to back inc collection box

To me It sounds like it's not picking up fuel from the main jet straight away as it runs smooth on low rev range, the pilot jets seem to be ok possibly a few things sticky slide / check rubber diaphram on top of carb, may be a small air leak on iet manifold could even be spark plugs try them first I would good luck

I have the identical problem exactly as you described on my Honda CB400n.
See if you can find my thread, most people advise me to strip down the carbs and clean them, I have not got around to it yet, I am hoping they might clear themselves, but no luck yet.
I am interested in the outcome of your thread.

Im gonna give it a few tanks through it try some super unleaded and a tweek on pilot jets I may also adjust float height a littleaas I set them low cause of overflow could be a mm or two out.
