Why not buy one of the complete engines on EBay and strip down for parts? Must be the best way to get over this

The danger there is that the parts required may be equally as sh*gged.... Good suggestion though.....just a bit risky - unless an engine is tested and known good which is rarely the case.

Many thanks to Chris Ling, I collected a 250 engine from him today and a load of other bits. With a bit of luck tomorrow(Sunday) I hope to have a running bike

Running at LLLLLLAAAAAAASSSSSSTTTTTTTT
I had a little play this morning......
This mornings topic was the red connector block.
Manky, oxidised and corroded female terminals, this little blighter stopped the idiot lights from working and stopped my project dead
This end lives next to the chain and back wheel and is open to the elements, no wonder they fail!!!
There wasn't any continuity between the connector block and the fuse terminals!!! which was properly annoying
I have replaced all the female spade terminals in the connector block for new and water proofed the back of the connector block with hot glue.

I might hot glue the back of the fuse block as well, stop any oxidation full stop.
