Hi all
I live in Kingston, just West of London, and I have been "restoring" my 1979 Silver CB250N for nearly 3 years now. It is the bike I wanted when I was 18 (back in '79), and along the way I have had to pass my bike test and have aquired a CB125TDC and enough SD parts to build a second bike, which I hope to use as a daily runner (I want to keep the first one as a Sunday ride).
Looking forward to picking the brains of those more knowledgable than me (which is probably most of you!!) and to getting out to meet anyone in the London/South East area.

Hi Daz
After a fruitless trip to Doncaster to try and get them sorted, I ended up back at a local engine specialists who had turned down the work "officially", but where a sympathetic mechanic took my 4 engines (dismantled/cleaned/vapour blasted where necessary) and offered to build me the 2 good engines i need. TODAY i finally picked up the first one ( after 6 months of waiting). Hope to fit it within the next month, work allowing. Have hit a bit of a problem with the second engine as there are parts missing, but working to resolve that and hope that one will be ready in the next 2 weeks. Let me know when/if you are going to Rika's 'cos I can always make it up there in the car anyway.

Surprised that Steve Jordan couldn't help, he has a good reputation around here but I'm not 100% sure he does that kind of stuff.
Let me know where its being done as mine will need stripping and sorting as it has a hell of a tick and may need new balance chains and a really good clean!!

Russ at BLR in Wallington is doing it as a side job, but in full knowledge of his boss. Very nice guy and I would recommend him, but don't expect anything like a quick turn around as he gets to things when he can. Will it run though? - that's the first question I need to answer....
