Hey Gee, if you haven't seen it already, check out the following blog on the rebuild of ORH: cb250n.blogspot.co.ukyou have to scroll from the bottom up! Its cool Ian, I had subscribed to Tom's blog a long time ago and seen his bike and thought...wow! Needs a few bits'n'pieces, will never be pristine as she will be getting used, but I have alot of new bits for her and don't mind spending some money on her. I have asked Tom to keep his blog going but he did get a real fright on his bike recently so we got his last one...ooooh and his Drift HD head cam and Susans new AGV lid.. A great weekend and may i add, Tom is a fabulous fella, such a sincere bloke and i will buy his XJ next year. A pleasure to have met him Gee.

And did you manage to keep her stable? And any scary moments experienced along the way, esp on the bends?
If not, how did you secure her?

I AM NOT ALONE!!!
Bought my SD 3 years ago on Ebay and brought it back home from Hatfield in the back of my Espace. It only had a side stand, so every time i turned left I had to do so at about walking speed or the bl**dy thing would tip over!! My mates thought I was a bit odd, but now I can explain I am part of a biking elite!
I was a big fan of the Mad man's blog, and it was probably one of the things that got me into this mess in the first place.

And did you manage to keep her stable? And any scary moments experienced along the way, esp on the bends? If not, how did you secure her? On the side stand Nick, then tied her down with straps, there are fixing points along the runners on the floor for the seats...was still abit wary of right handers but she had no where to go as all the seats and the fridge were stacked at the other side. Gee.

Looks good in there, Gee, but how did you get it in - I struggle to get mine up the kerb!? Lifted the back in, the grabbed a fork each, it was surprisingly easy. We had to tilt her slightly as the aperture of the boot door was less that the height of the inside, but once inside we could stand her up. Gee.

Great pics and story. 2nd photo looks like you are just collecting a snap of Rona's bum rather than technically necessary TBH! And I see it rained on you- classic reason to try and move bikes by van if at all possible...
