Ok guys, as you know, i'm in the middle of trying to get shot of DRV. I had it advertised for £700, but i've been offered £500, and they want me to sort the advisories (i have the parts now any how).
Does this seem fair. I know i'm in for a loss but trying to make it as painless as I can. you've probably all seen the project thread by know so you know what i'm selling.
Be honest guys, i'm not in to ripping people of, just had to resurrect the old girl.

Can you not try and get them to meet you in the middle, Gary? I think £600 would be a good compromise.. But if you are desperate for the wonga and they won't budge, you may have to bite the bullet. Sometimes it is a cruel world out there.

Were the advisories the rear wheel bearings and fork seals? I think the buyer is being very cheeky asking you to fix these AND drop the price to £500. They were just advisories on a 35 year old bike. More evidence of the current buyers market- particularly for 250's. there is simply too many out there for sale.
If you desperately want rid- give the buyer the parts and let him continue to maintain a classic bike....

I've not responded to his text, i've checked out the smalls over here, and there is very little of this type of bike, none for the money he wants to spend, i nearly took it, but something tells me to be patient. I could do with the money at the moment, but would rather keep it than let someone take the piss. I'm as much of a chancer as anybody when it comes to a deal, but there are limits. Also fortunately she has decided to over fuel on the left carb which added to the delay in my responce to the potential buyer, easy fix, that needle jet is knackered too, i should have replaced the pair. Bit all sorted, just got to fit them. For now she is still mine :-)

Cash is king.....but if you can hold out then kick his ass as much as he is trying to kick yours.
