It would take quite a bit of work (expense) to get that back to a credible quality, that said, someone will buy it.

I am going to be harsh here and suggest that this will never grace a show bike - even with a re-chrome....This has sadly warped with years of corrosion.
There are easier ones out there to get A1.

If I understand you correctly you have it and wonder whether it's worth selling?
No.
Or you are after a good original front muddy and wonder whether this one is worth saving?
No.
If the second is true I could get you one much better is all.....

I agree with FB..........
UNtil, and unless, Silvers come good and produce the promised credible replicas we shouldnt destroy even these basket cases........
I remember reading many moons ago and article about restoring parts that seemed beyond hope, and this may be a case in point.
OK, to YOU it may be beyond financial sense to have it repaired by welding in new sections and rechroming, but who is to say that as the years go on that original mudguards become so rare that drastic restoration may become the ONLY way of having one?
If it isnt taking up space, hang on to it in the loft - you never know..............

After having studied these pics in more detail, I think the dents are not down to corrosion in this case but more inflicted damage...
A dent removal specialist may be able to get them out fully.....but at around 50 notes to do that plus the potential separation and re-chrome of around 120 notes is it worth it?
If the end result was guaranteed then maybe yes.......but sadly noting can be guaranteed in this respect.

Loz gave me one with a bloody big hole in the middle and I mean big full width of the mudguard and about 3 inches front to back I fibre glassed the hole and painted it red its the one on the front of my 250 it will never see chrome again but it was still worth the effort
