Continuing the story of this wonderful bike....
Went into the MOT station yesterday to book it in and the guy said he could do it today if I gave him a hand! So a mad rush this morning to get it out and ready- PO had left it in a bit of a state and totally unready for an MOT- had to wipe off a few specks of dust and fit some more petrol. Fuff!- Experts!
I am totally amazed by how archaic the bike MOT process can be! There is me making sure all trhe obvious stuff works- a few hard brakes just to get the pads and shoes nicely warmed up. Then the actual brake test is just the examiner sat on the bike with the lever pulled and me winding a ratchet winch to try and pull the whole shebang to the wall! He even uses grit in the floor paint to help the classics out....
Having forgot I was meant to be just dropping it off because I had a meeting at work, no wallet or money, gabbed with the guy about SD's in general for ages, realised I was soooo late, jumped on the bike and rode hell-for-leather back to work. We never even mentioned whether it had passed or failed!
Good old Karen had opened the roller door, I sped straight in, skidded to a halt in front of my appointment at the table, helmet and jacket off, sat down, cup of tea handed to me-on with discussion. How James Bond is that!
Oh- and of course it passed...

Amazing Paul.......thanks for the update. Keep the dust, it'll be worth something. P.S - and thanks for the clutch lever boot - got it today.

By the way, when do you think you'll get those 250N sprockets? Did you seal the deal in the end?
