Been riding my NC for a few days now and have racked up about 400 miles,it is without doubt a truly brilliant little bike, but I kept feeling that the steering was a bit slow-turn in was kinda "lazy". In the past with other bikes, mostly sport bikes, I have always dropped the forks thru the yolks to put a bit more weight on the front and effectively quicken the steering. I originally did it as I am ,basically,a short-arse! At 5'6" with a 28" inside leg my choice of bike has always been limited so little mods to bring the ground nearer have always been priority. I first read about this in Performance Bike mag in the early 90's and tried it on my GPz900r-WOW! transformation! Since then I have tried it on almost every bike I have owned, strangely some time there is no real difference but on my Gpz's,1200 Bandit and CB750F2N's it has made a nice bike an awsome bike. I noticed as soon as I got the NC that the front suspension was completely different to all other Superdreams,it has a pair of clamping yolks as oppose to the top yolk where the forks bolt up below the top yolk using the forks top caps to locate them. Had a quick measure to see what was possible and slackened the 10mm top bolts and the 13mm bottom yolk bolts then using the depth gauge on my digital callipers gently bounced the forks thru the yolk until 13mm protruded above the top yolk. Tightened every thing up,put my lid on and went roundabout "surfing". GOOD JOB! Felt much better, flicks on to its side way quicker and it also felt more planted when turning. I did notice at higher speeds (80+) on a gentle curve on the local bypass it did seem a tiny bit more nervous but I can live with that as I derive my biking pleasure, when on the Superdreams, from nippy handling and a general light feeling that they have, for seroius fast stuff I have the 750 and my lovely old Ducati SuperSport. Very happy ,been another good day, seem to be having loads of them since I got the NC,happy days :-) Nix
