nice, know anyone who needs/wants a cycle master clip on engine? see adds section.......
as to sd head, any signs of the other ex valve touching that piston, and has the head been skimmed.......academic now i know but its nice to find out why it dropped a valve.......sticky valve and guide??

No real reason as to why it dropped its valve, one of those things. The engine had done 84,000 so something is going to give.
Was cleaning the new bottom half that i picked up last night. Covered in years of grease. Have bits of another engine under workbench that i can make 1 decent engine out of.
Have also got 400 hondamatic engine under work bench , which came from a mate, that runs , but has a slight noise that he could never stop. It ran and he came to ignore the niose. This won,t be going in the bike as there would be too much to change, ignition , discs , brakes, sprokets etc. If anybody wanted to swap for a 250 engine.
Going on holiday for a couple of weeks so will be a few weeks befor she is running.
However ny 750 was running again last night after a liitle hiccup. She is running rich and the plugs keep sooting and failing. Have now got in DR7ES plugs to try and sort. Carbs are balanced and have right jets. Also new ignitors and coils at great expense.
Two of my toys now running just got to det the Superdream fixed next.
