This new tyre does run darn close to Crouchy's genuine guard - but it is just about fine.......

It is strange though. I have the same tyre and the same size on my 400 and it does not run this close......... Checked the pressure and it is correct at 26. But I won't worry about speedo readings on a 250N or 400N...... but I get you, CT.

I don't think anyone else that's fitted a larger front tyre also has an original mudguard. But it does seem strange as the OEM Yokohama clears by at least 25mm- that a lot of clearance to disappear... 90/90 is the same size as OEM.

Have you got any of them Quality Street left Nick, or is it just a tin full of empty wrappers now?

No it's no good.....this is bugging me now.
I'm going to go with a 3.00 and lose the 3.25.
That will give me the 0.25 inch that I think I need.
The 3.60 from new is the same as the 3.25 I'm told but the 3.60 is a low profile version hence why it looks smaller.
I hope that the 3.00 will make it look normal again.
Heidenau don't do a 3.60 sadly.....I should have gone with the Dunlops me thinks.

Be interesting if you can measure the 3.25 before it comes off? Total width with a pair of calipers and height from the rim. I'm thinking if we collate actual measurements some sense can be made of the different options....

Skinnier front tyre fitted - job done today at 12:37 pm..... (GMT).
Although (and I suspect I could be wrong) that the new tyre or inner tube is suffering a loss in pressure. We will see.......pumped it up again tonight and fitted it anyway. Looks a lot better, huh? At least it's not assisting the braking now.
