Hey!
I just saw a local 1000cc CBR for sale for just a few hundred bucks, was wondering if i could "repurpose" the whole suspension kit and wheels from the bike. There is also a 600cc cbr for cheap also.
The plan would be to convert the mono-swing from the rear to fit the twin shocks of the cb400n, and then machine the swingarm to fit if it doesnt fit straight up
What are the original dimensions of the rear swingarm, and whats the original size of the main front fork "main tube" which connects the frame and forks?
Dont have my cb400n with me now sadly so i cannot measure it myself. Has someone done a wide-wheel conversion like this? Saw one done in Japan but they used a CB400SuperFour suspension set custom machined.

The rear drive sprocket position relative to the centerline of the bike is the limiting factor on rear tyre width. You will have to find a way to offset the front sprocket if you wish to go wider than 130 on the rear, one method of doing this is shown below. The easiest way to go wider on the rear is fit a CM250/400 rear wheel as shown in the pics, but as I say 130 is limit without going the offset sprocket route as chain to tyre clearance is the problem .. Yeah my plan was basically to install a jackshafted front sprocket to bring the front sprocket further out to fit the rear wheel. The biggest problem is basically getting the dimensions when i dont have either bike with me haha.
