As was said yesterday by Dave I think, I apparently want to do the garden and cleaning up etc before I do anything with my bike. Oh, I also want to walk the dog apparently. Then, when it’s probably going dark and starting to rain, I’m free to do, ‘whatever I want’. centre stand stripping and prepping today. (This evening)

Looks like you've already "swam the channel" as they say, by getting the pivot tube out of the dam thing..

Have to be honest guys, it just twisted out. Even though the stand is as rusty as hell, the pivot tube just slid out. Pure luck that it was greased and didn’t fight me.
