So, a while ago I picked up a NOS Clock cover badge (Part No. 87106443008) from Ebay for my previous restoration. It was immaculate, my son Robert thought it was too nice to put on the clocks. So he took it away, made some measurements, modelled it in CAD and 3D printed it... Now, it still needs tweaking as his 3D printer is playing up. We are going to try and improve the surface finish and then spray them with etch primer, then matte black. Then use some Humbrol Maskol to cover the lower surround areas then spray the top face of the lettering with chrome plate to get as near as dammit to the original finish. I did ask image works if he could trace the lettering and produce some chrome stickers but they said they wouldnt be able to cut such small letterings. Will hopefully keep this thread updated with progress...

It seems to be made from an alloy. I wonder if the place that did the forum badges might be able to remake them?

That’s ace! I love technology. I remember when we thought CB Radio was the top end of it 😀😀
