Thanks guys. My sprocket does not have the cover and the spacer is not flat but has almost a ‘bell mouth’ shape. I’ll post a picture when I get the new one

Thanks for the photos Bazzer. Yes mine looked like that when I assembled It (new sprockets, new chain, new cush rubbers) but the spacer is now half worn away. Difficult to see what the wearing mechanism is but hopefully the new set (from DS) will give a snug fit and avoid any problems. Thanks for your help.

New spacer, cush rubbers and dust cover fitted yesterday. Spacer a very tight fit in the sprocket and pretty tight on the wheel. Here's the new and old spacers and, as I said before, how that wear was caused is very strange. Haven't ridden it yet as I want to change the weeping fork oil seal but I hope this has cured the problem.
