Anyone else experienced difficulty of getting a can of ACF50 online? I ordered one from Amazon and then it got refunded before it shipped, but after it should have arrived. Then I tried to order from another supplier and it said could not ship to private address. Finally ordered from Sportsbikeshop on line, but had to come via DPD as they said Royal Mail would not shop ACF. I guess they consider it too volatile, but never had issues with similar stuff before.

I've always got it from one of the local bike shops, they all seem to stock it.

So for anyone (me) unfamiliar with this stuff, could someone tell us a bit about it. What’s it good for, how would you use it? 🍻

It was developed by the Canadian company Lear Chemical Research in the late 1970's and much used in the aviation industry as a rust blocker. It gained its reputation after being adopted as the "go to" stuff for the US military and coastguard on their aircraft fleet. Works very well, but can be eye wateringly expensive unless you shop about. You will get inventive to minimise wastage.(I use a soft brush, rather than spray) Used on every cleaned up nut-bolt, bit of chrome that you re-fit, it will hold the rust back. If you put a bit in a jar,it will thicken up, which can be handy. Hope that helps 👍

More info here. youtu.be/jjx5gqBZLfk?si=OLJqvFiEMBP3zlc1BTW, I am not as cavalier with the stuff as guy in video, as Duffer said it's quite expensive stuff. But it goes a long way. However I was quite generous with it and still does not use much out of the can.
