Though I’m still riding my bikes I only use them when the weather is half decent and let’s be honest there’s not been a lot of dry days recently , very close to home there were a lot of flooded homes and businesses here due to the 2 local rivers i.e. River Hipper and River Rother I consider myself very lucky , I think if I didn’t get the chance to ride my bike a little I’d go insane , I’m already planning a run for Derbyshire next spring and I can’t wait , stay safe 👍

I know what you mean Paul, the weather's been pretty rubbish over here, but we have been lucky over here the last few days which have been fairly dry - even had a bit of sunshine today & rode up to Peel Breakwater Kiosk for lunch. Best of all, I went on my Superdream - first time for ages after having to make do with the VanVan following surgery. Just want winter to be over now

Been doing a spot of maintenance on my cx. It will soon be ready to test. It may be cold, but I can't wait. Be nice to make at least one of the spring runs on a bike.

It's been a couple of weeks since I last got out, quick run over to Holmfirth and back it put some charge in the battery and blew away my cobwebs too .No idea when I'll get out again as I don't like the cold (don't like it hot either ) but there you go

We had a ride up to Peel today. Cold, but at least the roads were dry. The views were fantastic, if a little frustrating the Isle of Man was sat under thick cloud, while we could see Northern Ireland, Scotland & Cumbrian hills. all sat under if not blue skies, at least very thin cloud .

It was indeed nice and bright today in NI but cold no less, unfortunately just enough time to start the old girl up , no time to ride, busy with farming jobs! 🙄

Yep, used to use my bike to get to work every day through November & December, 15 miles, but a 5 mile trip to the shops today felt much colder - mind you, I'm 10 years older now so that might have something to do with it

Yea, winter riding not fun any more. My list of previous bikes is due to me riding to work for 25 years. The Mersey tunnel is free for bikes and easier in the traffic so always rode. The Triumph was killed by the salt, the Harley made of cheese and fell apart. The KLR no grip. If I ride in the cold now, I have to sit down to have a pee whenever I stop.
The odd day out ok but not very often anymore. One thing I will say, a Keis heated Jacket is one of the best things I ever bought. Maybe not for our SDs but for commuting in the cold, an investment worth making. 😀.
